Animal testing is a cruel practice that many animal rights advocates seek to abolish. For laboratory testing, most of the time use Beagle dogs. Hence, rescuers make sure and rescued these dogs from labs.
The television network SBS TV has documented the life of twenty-nine beagle dogs after they were rescued. These dogs have never experienced life outside of a laboratory. Finally, they get a chance to live the life of a regular dog.
All the rescued beagles were brought to a large shelter. All the crates placed in the corner of a large area. The crates were all opened simultaneously.
At first, the beagles were hesitant to step out of their crates. It took some time before the beagles felt comfortable enough to move out of their crates. Once they got out, they started playing amongst themselves and with the rescuers as well.
There was one particular beagle that was still hesitant to come out even after several minutes had passed. Another beagle approached that one and helped him become more comfortable. Finally, the last beagle took small steps but eventually got out of the crate as well.
Beagle diseases tested after playtime. The vets checked if the constant experiments have done damages to the dogs’ bodies. Fortunately, all of them were healthy according to the test results.
Twenty-nine beagles put up for adoption. Some of them have already found a good home. The television network also made a visit to some of the owners who adopted a few beagles.
Bobby and Ken, two of the rescued beagles, are enjoying their life with a wonderful woman. Another woman adopted a beagle and their meeting filmed. The beagle was very comfortable in his new environment.
Beagles are very easy to get along with. They don’t show much resistance most of the time. That’s why they are the preferred animals for experimentation. However, they should never expose their cruelty. More and more are now being rescued all over the world.
