Getting a pup isn’t all fun and games. We have to be ready to take care of them up until their twilight years. Most people don’t understand that when a dog has entered its twilight years, taking care of them can get tough. Different kinds of illnesses start to befall them, and we have to put in more effort in keeping them healthy.
Kane, the Siberian husky, is one of those senior pups. He started to lose control of his hind legs, which, of course, kept him from getting around. Luckily for him, he had a dog dad who loves him just like a child. His human bought him all the medicine that could help ease the pain, so he could walk again, but nothing worked.
Then his dad came across water therapy. Basically, this meant that the pup would be doing some exercises while floating around on the pool. Being in the water makes anyone weightless, and that means that Kane won’t be feeling a thing once he started stretching his legs again.
Because it turned out that Kane stopped using his hind legs because he started to feel pain when he does so. His vet also warned that because of the pup’s age, surgery is out of the question. Kane wouldn’t survive going under the knife. So they gave water therapy a shot.
After a couple of sessions, Kane started moving his hind legs again! Later a few more, he was able to walk again with some assistance from a leash tied around his waist. After a few walks, the pooch is now able to walk on his own! It’s definitely a doggo miracle!
But Kane’s dad does not want him to be walking on his own to avoid aggravating the situation. Walking with some assistance will suffice, as it’s enough for Kane to get a semblance of normalcy. The pup’s dad promised that he would do his best to make the remaining years of Kane’s life as comfortable as possible.
