Although we like to think that every pooch has their special day, some others only have their special moments. For this dog named Chloe, this particular moment happened in 2016. This was when police officers paid a visit to an apartment in Lyndhurst, Ohio, where she resides.
In the apartment, the police officers found Chloe along with four other dogs rotting inside crates. The police officers believed that the dogs spent most of their days in that cramped space. After discovering that the dogs were there, the police officers began their rescue operation and freed the five dogs.
All of the dogs left their crates immediately. It was their first time to see and feel sunlight touching their bodies. However, one dog seemed to be shy during that time. Chloe did not leave the crate quickly and waited for a police officer to help her get out.
At that time, the police officer pitied the pooch and decided to adopt Chloe for good. Jackie Susann, the police officer’s friend, said that the man instantly connected with Chloe. This is why the police officer did not think twice about adopting the dog.
Ever since the pooch arrived at the officer’s house, Chloe began to show her real attitude. According to Susann, who gets the chance to take care of the pooch, Chloe is a sweet dog. But more than this, the pooch is also an intelligent pet.
But as the dog grew older, she became hostile to other dogs in the house. This is why the officer decided to give the dog’s custody to Susann, who, during that time, has no dogs at home. Susann gladly took care of Chloe because she has built a good rapport with the pooch. For now, Chloe is enjoying the life she deserves with Susann as her parent.
Thank you to everyone who donated in memory of Jackie Ray Sherman. The girls, as they are affectionately known (Desi, Gemma and Memphis), are settling in with foster mom Susan. “These three would be a joy to have…they are great little dogs.” pic.twitter.com/dqU21Rlxcc
