For several weeks now, the charming little dog named Ramona has been under lockdown in their home in Ecuador. Ramona only leaves the house with her owners when they need to buy the essentials. Despite being cooped up indoors, this sweet pup still met her soulmate.
The other night, Ramona was sitting on the balcony together with her owners. While enjoying some fresh air, someone suddenly caught Ramona’s eye. Right outside the street was another little dog, who, even from a distance, clearly showed interest in Ramona too.
Paula Sáenz de Viteri and Karla Cadena, Ramona’s owners, said that the two dogs seemed to have fallen in love with each other at first sight. According to Paula, she saw Ramona got super excited, and when she looked outside, she saw their pup’s Romeo. The little guy came to their house equally excited too. Paula noted that it was like watching a soap opera.
Ramona’s owners think that this was the two dogs’ first rendezvous, but they were already very much smitten. Karla could not believe the emotion that she saw on the two pups’ faces. They soon learned that Romeo lives with the owner of the woodworking shop across the street. So, the following day, Paula and Karla arranged a proper meeting for the two dogs.
Although they seemed bashful at first, the two pups were thrilled to finally see each other face-to-face. That was Ramona and her Romeo’s “first date.” Thankfully, the two dogs’ owners are very supportive. Paula and Karla are even planning on setting up more get-togethers in the future.
Paula said that all the things that make Ramona happy make them happy too. She noted how nice it was to see that their dog found love even while they were on quarantine. This only proves that love indeed comes when you least expect it.
